In our game, you’ll be able to step into the shoes of either of these main characters and join the Supreme Court. As a women of color, it was vitally important to me that our game had diverse main characters, and I’m very excited with how they turned out.
So when designing our main character, we wanted to use the opportunity of having a made up person to inject some racial and gender diversity into our main cast. Which in our situation meant we were limited to a Supreme Court with a majority of white male members. Making a game with real life people / branches of government is always a challenge because you’re limited by real life. The team has been hard at work putting more of the pieces together and today we’re proud to reveal our player character designs! Yes, i do use other websites, but i’m not interested in posting personal things to any of them. it’s a bunch of people being themselves on their own terms. People like to joke about it being bad, but I legitimately really like Tumblr. I thoroughly enjoyed our conversation and know you will too.Anyway the last point I have to make here is that even if tumblr breaks under the algorithm (almost certain if they don’t back out of using it) and/or everybody leaves… I don’t have anywhere else to go or post things IMO, running for office is the ultimate form of activism. And I have to say I am in awe of his passion and willingness to take on the challenge. The district is considered so safe for Republicans that Chris is running unopposed in the primary.īut Chris is not deterred. And the incumbent, Phil Roe (no relation to Chris), is a five-term congressman who wields a great deal of power in the House. The last Democrat who ran in this district lost by 77% of the vote.
There are only THREE districts in the entire nation with a higher rating. Tennessee's 1st congressional district is R+28 according to the Cook Partisan Voting Index (CPVI or PVI).
