She can effectively gimp opponents by chasing them with float and attacking, with Neutral and Forward Aerials being the best attacks to do so. Peach Parasol can also score KO's near the blast line. All her aerials have great utility, with Forward and Back Aerials being excellent finishers, Down and Up Air Attack being great combo tools and Neutral Air Attack being a great spacing option.Īs for KO options, her Forward Air Attack is by far her best KO move, though her Up and Down Smash Attack are quite powerful as well, with the later being perfect to catch opponents side rolling behind her. While her Tilts are quite laggy, her Down Tilt is another formidable combo starter as it ground bounces opponents directly up. While they stop effectively being guaranteed above mid-high percentages, Peach can bait opponents into air dodges and punish accordingly. One of Peach's best combo starters is her Down Throw, which can follow up into many of her moves, such as Up Tilt, Neutral Air, and Up Air Attack. This is also a good keep-away strategy, as she can use her aerials while retreating, being hard to punish.
This is very useful to land aerial attacks without having to actually jump. Peach can also perform a technique called float cancel, where her jump is cancelled into a float right before using, in essence keeping her at ground height. Floating greatly improves Peach's recovery, approaches and gimping capabilities. In this state she can input any of her aerials while maintaining the float (as long the button is still held) however doing so will decrease her float time slightly. Doing so will allow Peach to hover in the air for a few seconds, where she can move forward or backwards horizontally. Peach is the only character in the game capable of floating, done by holding the jump button during a jump or double jump. She has slow dash, aerial speed and falling speed, however these are traits often favorable in her favor, since she has a huge amount of follow up options and combos at her disposal. Peach is a character based on Mix-Up combos, as well Heavy Pressure on opponents with her versatile moveset. Has a high learning curve, thus being unpopular in competitive play.Can't deal well against opponents with disjointed hitboxes capable of outranging her.Vegetables can be picked up by opponents and thrown back at Peach.Her recovery can be easily gimped, and her vertical recovery is somewhat low.
